How to create your first short link

Creating a short link with DAS Short takes just a few seconds. Follow the steps below to shorten any long URL and start tracking it.

Steps

1. Log in to your dashboard and open the Create Short Link page.
2. Paste your long URL into the URL field and make sure it starts with https://.
3. (Optional) Choose a custom alias, set an expiry date, or pick a target domain.
4. Click Create Short Link. Your new short link appears instantly with a QR code and copy button.

Tips

• Keep the destination page fast and mobile friendly — most traffic on short links comes from phones.
• Use the QR code in posters, packaging or business cards.
• Manage, edit, pause or delete links any time from My Links.

If a link shows an error after creation, check that the destination URL is still online and publicly reachable.
