API quick start for developers

Automate link creation with the DAS Short API.

1. Create an API key

Open the API page, give your key a name and create it. The full key is shown only once — store it safely.

2. Shorten a URL

POST /index.php?route=api-short
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
Content-Type: application/json

{"url": "https://example.com/very/long/page"}

The response contains your new short_url and code.

3. Errors

• 401 — missing or invalid key.
• 422 — the URL is missing or not a valid http/https URL.

Revoke keys any time from the API page. Never expose your key in public client-side code.
